MTN recently launched its first Artificial Intelligence (AI) chat bot service for its Mobile Money (MoMo) platform few days ago.
The development of MTN MoMo Artificial Intelligence chatbot is one of its kind in Africa's AI or chatbot service. It first exhibition was in May 2019 in Cote d’Ivoire and now. It will however, be rolling out across MTN’s MoMo footprint in the next few months. Said the MTN Group Ceo.
Getting every customer engaged in the MTN Mobile Money service without experiencing difficulties in payments on either of the social media platforms such as WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger and SMS, is one of the main reasons for developing the AI chatbot project. Meanwhile, as a supplement to this, the newly launched AI chatbot will be added in MTN's own newly-released instant messaging service called Ayoba
According to The MTN Group President and Chief Executive Officer, Rob Shuter, in an official statement, he said that chatbot is also an Artificial Intelligence guide that assists users to navigate MTN’s MoMo services and provide other useful information. Adding that the innovation leveraged messaging and Artificial Intelligence to drive customer’s engagement and enhance their MTN MoMo experience.
